  1. Stand up for yourself, you are worth it.
  2. Expand your music tastes, there is so much out there
  3. Being weird is what makes you, you, embrace it
  4. Your parents are super heroes, but you don’t need to agree with them on everything
  5. Ohana means family and family never gets left behind or forgotten.
  6. Don’t settle for things you’re not sure about
  7. “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”
  8. Don’t let things happen to you, be an active member of your life
  9. Touch the butt
  10. You cannot be everyone’s psychiatrist
  11. Fight for joy, especially when it’s hard to find
  12. Never be ashamed of saying no. You don’t want to, end of story.
  13. Wear things that make you feel good
  14. Don’t get sucked in by those people who just want to argue a point. You don’t need to agree with them just to make them stop talking. Walk away.
  15. Real friends. You’ll know them when you meet them.
  16. Self-confidence starts with you

  18. Don’t let people persuade you out of your opinions
  19. You will not have a room at home once you go to college. Prepare accordingly.
  20. Play your music loud, it sounds better that way
